The 40th anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Caucus of the College Art Association.
February 24, 2012
This session is organized on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Caucus of the College Art Association; its purpose is to explore the trajectory of engaged activism within the women’s art movement from its origins in the sixties and seventies, where members were united by a common cause to overcome discrimination against women, to its current manifestation as a postmodern, heterogeneous, extremely diverse hybrid entity that consists of a multiplicity of individuals, all of whom have a voice.
